From library book clubs and hands-on PE programs to educational opportunities at Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains, there are plenty of ways to enhance your child’s learning in the Smokies.


  • Homeschool Junior Book Club at the Seymour Library:
    Schedule: Second Wednesday of each month (September-May) | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Ages: 3rd – 6th Grade, March Book: The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Learn more here.


  • Story Times & Read-Alouds at King Family Library & Other Branches: Weekly scheduled story times featuring read-alouds, crafts, and interactive learning. Learn more here.


  • LEGO Challenge at Kodak Library:
    Schedule: Second Tuesday of each month (September-May). 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Ages: K – 3rd Grade. Learn more here.


  • Homeschool P.E. Program at the Pigeon Forge Community Center: Wednesdays every week from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM, Ages: 5–12, Free for members; $2 for non-members.   • Dollywood Homeschool Days: Dollywood Theme Park & Splash Country celebrates homeschool students and teachers with discounted days of admission. 2025 Spring/Summer dates will be released here soon! Discount: Students (K-12): $41 + tax, Adults: $51 + tax


  • Great Smoky Mountains National Park Homeschool Programs: Various Locations in the National Park; Ranger-Led Field Trips for Grades: K – 12 available during the school year, hands-on educational experiences led by park rangers, virtual learning programs, including earning a Junior Ranger Badge by completing fun activities in the park.   • Forging Ahead Homeschool Program at Pigeon Forge Public Library:
    Schedule: Wednesdays in February | 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM,
    Ages: 6 – 15, Themes rotate weekly, Registration Required: Limited to 15 participants. Learn more here.
