Known as the First Independence Day Parade in the Nation, Gatlinburg's famous midnight parade begins just after midnight to officially kick off July 4th festivities. The parade begins at Baskins Creek Bypass and ends at Traffic Light #10.

🚗 Arrive EARLY. Good parking options include McMahan Garage at Traffic Light #3, Ripley's Aquarium Parking Garage. These garages fill up early in the day, so Trolleys are another great option!

Let your adrenaline reach new heights on the award-winning Big Bear Mountain, or dance and groove through Wildwood Grove at a special nighttime dance party. Each night is sealed with a dazzling fireworks and drone show, sparkling against a backdrop of Smoky Mountain stars.

Gatlinburg’s most-nail biting race of the summer! Set against the backdrop of Gatlinburg’s fun-filled Fourth of July celebration, comes the ever-competitive River Raft Regatta which is an annual race of unmanned floatables down the Little Pigeon River.

⏰ The celebration begins with a DJ Dance Party at 9 PM at the Shade Tree Parking Lot. Fireworks begin around 10 PM

🚗 HEAVY TRAFFIC! Park in the city-owned garages near Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies or at Traffic Light #3 (East Parkway) EARLY! Because downtown spots fill by 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, arrive early, utilize the Gatlinburg Park and Ride lots, or take the Trolley.
